The 2013 Ibiza season is coming while the IMS (International Music Summit) closing night program has been officially announced. The sixth edition, which has become a major event for all electro music professionals, will take place like every year at the Gran Hotel Ibiza from Wednesday the 22nd to Friday the 24th on May 2013.
Conferences, debates and meetings between musical industry protagonists will punctuate the days in order to create tighter links amongst them. Apart from the IMS, parties will take place every night in venues such as Pacha, Lio, Grial bar or Bubbles.
As in 2012, the up-and-coming club of Playa den Bossa Sankeys Ibiza is planning its Opening two nights during the IMS on May 23rd and 24th. While the Ushuaia Opening is planned on Saturday the 25th, it will be followed by Space, DC10 … on Sunday the 26th. A great festive week is to come!
As for music, the IMS closing party line-up on May 24th will be amazing. Once again generations will be mixed with Sven Vath, the English Maya Jane Coles, the 2012 up-and-coming star Solomun, Scuba and Tensnake and Le Caroussel live.
Following the example of the “CTRL: Beyond EDM” tour introduced last winter in North America by Richie HAWTIN, the tendency is to analyze and think about what electronic music is nowadays and where it is heading. We now use the term E.D.M (Electronic Dance Music). The 2013 Ibiza IMS subject is “Beyond the Boom Boom” which will be debated among the different music protagonists there.
