For all Ibiza novices, El Divino will not tell you much, at best you would have vaguely heard about it.
El Divino was one of the major clubs on the island with the same ranking as Space, Pacha, etc. Although smaller in size, this club was the starting point for many DJ’s in Ibiza. It was an opportunity for certain parties such as “Defected” or “Release Yourself Ibiza” by Roger Sanchez to become popular.
Situated in the marina of Eivissa port, the Pacha group bought the club back at the end of 2009, however, nobody would know of its future. At first, it was envisioned as a sport club and fitness centre. However, El Divino has reopened, as a Cabaret restaurant under the name of “Lio Ibiza” in 2011.
This restaurant offers Japanese cuisine à la “Robata” – where chefs grill meat and fish dishes in front of you then serve it by means of a long wooden paddle. This is a novel idea since it is non-existent in Ibiza.
The magnificent terrace offers a fantastic view over the old town which was El Divino’s success at the time. It will certainly be the case for “Lio Ibiza”.
