To all those who will be spending their first vacation in Ibiza, here are some useful tips: How to get around Ibiza.
Ibiza has an extensive regular bus network that serves the main towns on the island as well as most of the beaches.
Buses run from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. In high season, the service is reinforced between Ibiza and San Antonio, but also between Ibiza and Santa Eulalia. Along with the “normal” buses, the Discobus reach the biggest clubs on the island between midnight and 7:00 am.
Timetables and routes are available at the Tourist Office. Please note that the hours vary from month to month. You can buy your ticket at a ticket office or directly on the bus. Most buses are air conditioned and are the most economical way to get around the island.
You will find all the timetables on this site: http://www.ibizabus.com/index.html
If there are 3 or 4 of you, then taxis are a more comfortable and relatively economical solution. They circulate at all hours of the day and night, just check if the green light that indicates their availability is on.
There are also Taxi stands in all towns and you can ask your hotel reception to call one for you. Prices are based on distance traveled, as is the case for all countries in Europe.
Here is the scale approved by the Government of the Balearic Islands for the year 2011 – Minimum price of the race: € 3.25 plus € 0.98/km from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. or € 1.20/km from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. So if you want to get from San Antonio to Ibiza or the other way around, the trip will cost you around € 19.

A European driving license is valid on the island, which allows you to rent a car or a scooter.
Seat belts in the car and wearing a helmet on a scooter are compulsory. The fines are high and the police very vigilant.
Like everywhere else, parking is also a problem on the White Island. However, a new system has been put in place to free up as much space as possible during peak hours.
In central Ibiza, many places are now chargeable. You will recognize them by the blue bands on the ground. Once parked, € 1 represents approximately 40 minutes of parking at the ticket machine.
No more worry: by bus, car or scooter you can travel the island as you see fit!
