Description: Cala Carbo is one of Ibiza’s most private little beaches. Turn left at the signpost on the San José to Cala Vadella road and a narrower road will take you to a small, sheltered sandy cove surrounded by rocky, pine encrusted hills. The beach is a combination of sand and pebbles that gently steeps into the clear water. The rocky coastline that extends from the sand is great for kids to scramble over, whilst fishing off the small jetty is a more tranquil activity. Also, there are easy moorings for private boats.
There are two very popular restaurants offering good food, especially seafood and paella. They’re very popular on Sundays with the locals so you may need to book early.
Directions: Accessible only by car, follow signs from San Antonio or San José, direction Cala Tarida and Cala Vadella. There’s limited car parking a short walk from the beach but it can get tricky to find a place at weekends during the summer high season.
