Description: Playa-d’en-Bossa is the largest stretch of sand on the island. Also, it has no less than fifty beach bars offering cocktails, music and is very trendy and laid back.
The clear waters cover a sandy shore, making Playa-d’en-Bossa ideal for ballgames and safe for younger children. There is little shade so wear sunscreen. Also, there is an ideal view of Dalt Vila (Ibiza Old Town) as well as close-ups of low flying aircraft.
The far end of the beach of Playa-d’en-Bossa (away from Ibiza Town, towards the watchtower) is calmer and quieter than the Ibiza end for it has less people and much less House music. For those of you looking for the definitive Ibiza beach party, wander along to Bora Bora Bar (roughly in the middle of d’en Bossa beach, by the Jet Apartments), where there are several beach bars playing club music and serving cold vodka-lemons in the summer sunshine!
Tip: Enjoy a walk towards the watchtower at the end of Playa-d’en-Bossa. From the top there is a fabulous view along the coast, whilst on the other side is a small hidden bay.
The most famous Bora Bora bar is the meeting point for before going to Space or other clubs. It is situated below the airport landing, a few kilometres away, raising your hands in the air is the Ibiza way for clubbers to welcome the new tourists.
