It is a great beach for body surfing on windy days, when the waves swell a little more before rolling towards the shore. Other beaches such as Cala Comte for its singular beauty or Pou des Lleó for its calm and peaceful cove. Playa d´en Bossa and Es Figueral offer extensive family beaches and are lined with bars, beach clubs and clubs, with a variety of stages from the trendiest to the more laid back. Clear waters cover a sandy bottom, which is great for beach play and safe for young children.
Besides the transparent turquoise waters, some beaches also offer vestiges of ancient civilizations. For example the Phoenician site of Sa Caleta and the ancient defensive towers which are scattered all over the coast. Also known as Es Bol Nou, it is in an absolutely beautiful setting, backed by red cliffs. This sandy beach has shallow water, making it ideal for families and young children.
