Description: Figueretas Ibiza is the only real beach that we can consider belonging to the Ibiza town, since the rest of the coast is in fact the port. It is not very big, hence it becomes packed quickly at the height of the season which often obliges the tourists to walk a little further to Playa d’en Bossa.
The beach of Figueretas Ibiza is a centrally located beach, divided into smaller parts and is bordered by a palm fringed promenade which extends towards Ibiza to the left and Playa d’en Bossa to the right. If you don’t have accommodations in Figueretas Ibiza, there is no real interest to try and come to put your towel on the beach. It can however, be pleasant to chill out by enjoying the promenade walkway or taking a ferry ride to go to the paradise island of Formentera!
This is the closest beach to Ibiza and there are good views of the old walled town of Dalt Vila from the far end. A small harbour of tiny fishing boats separates Figueretas Ibiza from Playa d’en Bossa beach.
In the evening the promenade comes alive with craft stalls and the restaurants along the walk start to fill up and become a busy hubbub of holiday makers. There are a large choice of bars, restaurants and shops all within easy reach either on the promenade or along the road behind.
Directions: from Ibiza town on foot, car or bus and ferry.
